As a company who’s passionate and intrigued about AI and its potential to change the world, we’re always keeping an eye out for the latest technological advancements in the field. With all the media hype recently regarding the dangers of AI, we wanted to share some thoughts on the next evolution in this cycle: combining powerful AI with quantum computing.

Quantum computing is based on the principles of quantum mechanics and has the potential to perform certain types of calculations much faster than classical computers. When combined with AI, quantum computing can significantly increase the computing power of AI systems.

One exciting application of this combination is in the field of optimisation, where quantum computers could be used to quickly find the optimal solution to complex problems. Another promising area of application is in the training of AI models, which could be sped up by enabling the parallel processing of large amounts of data.
